Need Help ASAP

I just ordered a bags on bars kit from suicide doors. I haven't made the cross member to mount the link to yet. I have a single cab. I need upper and lower measurements that work well. I can build the crossmember to work with these lengths. They just want me to give them something as far as bar lengths.

take a look at peeps pics to get an idea of where you want to install the x-member, once you figure that out, take a mental pic of where it is, then take some measurements for both the top & bottom bars, that will give you what you want......

question, are you getting the bars/links with the ends already installed, or are you gonna install them yourself?

reason is say that is, if they are already installed, you won't have any "play" in your choice of mounting locations for the xmember,
whereas if your gonna install the bar/link ends yourself, then you
just order the bars/links long, then you can cut them to the length
you need once you get the xmember installed.

my lowers are 33" and the crossmember is at the front bed mount...

more than likely your bars are gonna be around 30''-35'' long, with a reg cab swb truck, id recommend going with the 33'' just like above.

I ended up doing 27 for the lowers and 28 for the uppers. Does anyone have some pics of bags on bars setups. I'm just trying to get some ideas. This is my first time 4-linking.

i suggest going to site like or or and check out the show coverage. or go to a shop's website and check out what they are doing.
