Deciding if i want to install these under the bed, or just throw them in the bed...

If you mount them under the bed make sure they are upright, this will prolong life of the compressors...

Basically it all depends on where you live? If it rains/snows a lot then I wouldn't, but you live in a dry area then go for it!

Imo I would want those components out of the elements as much as possible?

Hey thanks,,i would have mounted the compressors upside down..lol...Didnt even think of that.

Well you can mount them upside down, and they will handle that! But imo why not take the time and mount them upright?

big plus to getting everything mounted under the bed is that IF you need to do some frame mods or wiring...basically any reason to pull the bed, then you can pull the bed and still roll. Mount ANY one component in the bed and if you remove the bed your truck is parked until the bed is put back on. It also looks much cleaner and provides you with a place for all your junk for that trip to the next car show

My 2 compressors will be mounted under the hood, near my OTHER 2 compressors. I'll have a 12 gallon in the bed, unless I can get another 25 gallon with 1" ports like I had before.

This was my setup when I first bagged my standard cab a few years ago. I don't have a pic when it was completly sheetmetaled in to protect ever thing from the elements. Never had a problem with it like this.

where'd u put ur fuel cell?
dragginmazda86 (dave)   +1y
^^ My fuel cell was up in front next to the cab, centered in the bed with one optima battery on each side. Like Devons 4x4 bed that hes trying to sell, even had the same cell, except with batteries on the sides.
