ok... i have heard about flipping bj's for years... i'm contemplating doing it to mine....i've just heard a few different ways to do it... is it as simple as flipping the upper ball joint and rebolting it in...or are there other things involved.?

my wheels will have rubber around them tonight so i will send pics for my other thread as well " 22" wheels"...

I believe there is a write up in the tech section. you're supposed to do both ball joints.

You actually only need to do the lower, doing the upper wont do anything for you, And it very easy you do need to cut a little bit off your lower arm where your bj is, but other than that its very straight forward..

Flipping the upper balljoint won't really help you. In fact it will probably hurt you. The way the arm is designed it wouldn't work well at all.

The lower balljoint is the only one you need to flip. Just grind the hump off the top side of the arm and put the balljoint on the top side. It doesn't affect your geometry. The pivots are still in line. If you think about it in a different way it makes sense. Don't think about moving the balljoint. All you are really doing is pushing the control arm down 3/4" or so for more bag room, the balljoint stayed in the same place.
