what could cause a vibration in my front end from 50-60mph someone told me the front tires could be outta balance and to just rotate my tires and see if thst helps my old 720 dont the same thing around 55 and i put new tires on it and it still didnt help. i need to figure this out quick cause i havent been driving the truck incase it is something more i dont wont to tear up anthing that isnt hurt already

ur BEST bet would be to spend the $20 or so and have both front wheels\tires balanced at a shop. that way you know 100% that it is NOT the wheels\tires causing the problem. Once you have done that then you can start looking into other things, worn bushings, loose bolts....the search for a needle in a haystack. Chances are though...its wheel balance, that tends to cause vibration at certain speeds like your describing

check your tie rod ends and balljoints as well.

if its not raining tomorrow ill check the ball joints and ends what should i look for on them justin cause i usually just take my cars to the shop but i much rather save some money with this one

well i got to looking and it had directional tires on it which i didnt pay attention to until now and 3 outta 4 are mounted backwards plus there is no grease in either ball joint due to the boots being busted the boots on the tie rod ends and the idler arm are busted so i guess its time to rebuild the entire front end. i guess ill go ahead and flip the ball joints while im at it or should i just get the tires remounted right and slowly replace the front end parts until it stops cause i drove it today and it didnt do it as bad but its still there

i found what was causing the vibration it is a bent wheel and the bushings on the passenger side upper comtrol arm are worn out. when i jack the truck up and wiggle the wheel you can see the control arm move from left to right on the cross shaft

Sounds like you need to give everything a once over just to check for more stuff like that.

ive checked everything else no play anywhere else besides the control arm im going tomorrow to see if i can find another pathfinder rim like i have (96-99) or a set of 95 or older like i used to have on my isuzu and to order the control arm bushings

put the front end on jack stands... with both tires off the ground completely....
grab the wheel and try and move it left to right ( not actually turning the wheel but seeing if there is play in the wheel) if there is play then your tie rod ends are shot or at least need to be looked at
now try moving the tire from top to bottom... just grab top and bottom and try and see if there is any play like that... if so then your balljoints are shot or at least need to be checked.
the best way to do it is have someone else move the wheel and you look behind the wheel and see exactly what is moving.... its the cheapest way to figure out what is wrong with your front end... costs nothing but 15-20 minutes of your time..

i have checked the ball joints and all one time already but i think i might recheck them one more time to be on the safe side plus there is no front shocks on the truck cause the guy i got it from had cut the shock and the bumpstop mounts out to bag it b4 i got it from him
