OK....so i installed 3" blocks and pulled the 2 middle leafs. I am running the top main leaf and the bottom load leaf, 3" blocks...nothing out of the ordinary. I was not able to drop the front the day i did the rear...rain came QUICK....and when i drove to work the next day I heard this odd almost raddling sound...or rather sounds like the driveshaft is hitting something when it spins. So at work that day I took down the torsions some and the noise persists when i drive. here is the deal...it ONLY happens durring LIGHT acceleration...up to about 1/2 or 2/3 pedal push...anything beyond that ( like when you get one it... ) it goes away and when cruising along with NO or VERY LITTLE pedal it does not do it....ONLY when you lightly press the gas pedal for slight acceleration. Its coming from some where between the cab and rear of the truck. I have static dropped 2 other Ext Cab mazda's in the past and have never run accross this sound. I pulled it up on a curb, crawled underneath...shook the driveshaft and looked around. Plenty of clearance everywhere, driveshaft felt solid......i dunno

Just wanted to know if any of yall have had similar issues. thanks

does it do it when the truck is not moving and just sitting there in neutral while revving it? sounds like exaust or something to me. possibility your exaust is close to your rear end.

I wish....no its only when moving and only when at that ligh acceleration...it does it in all gears 1-5th...I want to think its the driveshaft....though I DONT want it to BE the drivehaft.....it COULD be something rattling but it sounds very much like something spinning and hitting something but doing it so fast that it almost sounds like rattling. If I cant figure it out, ima pull the bed and find out exactly where its comeing from

Stick the rear up on jack stands, Put it ingear and let the rear wheels start spinning get under there and see, no sense in pulling the bed

I have the same problem. Mine is more of when i let off the gas it has a squeaking sound coming from the same area? Im guessing it might be the pinion angle? I havent had a chance to look at it but when i do i'll let you know.

check to see if your u-bolts are tight, both of you.
i had a problem that sounded pretty similar...mine was scary...rear end shifted whenever i changed gears...couldve probably died if i didn't fix...lol

check to make sure the nuts on your u-bolts havent ran out of threads. sometimes people tighten them down and they stop on the non-threaded part of the u-bolt. which makes you think that they are tight when they arent. when i first put blocks on, it did that and made a weird rattle-squeaky noise.

chek the rearend dope it might need to be changed

sounds like a driveline angle problem, either angled blocks or shims under the tranny mount will fix the vibration. whats happening is your rear end is at so much of an angle your u-joint is almost "binding" up. that is where the vibration is from. think about it, no vibration, then you installed the blocks raising the rear end and changing the angle of the driveshaft and now there is a vibration

I have no vibration problem. From the sound of it niether does NoRideTooLow. Its just a squeaking/rattling noise. I'm sure its just the pinion angle binding up the carrier bearing. Shims should fix the problem, but havent done it yet.
