ok does anbody know why an 86 b2000 and 92 b2600 upper control arms are different but according to the parts store they take the same bushings. i got an upper from a friend off of the b2000 and it is like 1/2" shorter than mine and the cross shaft is smaller but like i said according to the parts store computer they take the same bushings. i ordered a set of bushings last week and when they came in they were smaller than what was on my truck. plus the lowers on the two trucks are the same so why would the uppers be different. could it be because one is a regular cab and the other is a cab plus

im assuming it is because one is a 4x4 and one is a 2wd..... i doubt the std cab and cab plus are the reason

both trucks are 2wd but even the cross shaft kits for the 2wd and 4wd have the same part numbers

ok i found out the problem the 2600 control arms are the same weather they are 2wd or 4wd but the 2200 and 2000 take a totally different upper control arm so you could probally use the 2600 on the others but not them on a 2600. there is a 1/2" difference in the length of the arm and the cross shaft and bushings on the 2600 are bigger in diameter. i figured i would post this so if anybody else runs into the problem they will know to make sure when you order parts make sure they are for a 2600
