Can someone hook me up with a wireing diagram or a walkthrough for my Compressor with pressure switch, and my switch box?? I recently aquiered an bagged 86 pup and the way its wired is weird to me...It has (had) a switch on the dash to turn the compressor on with a tripable fuse in the engine compartment. Well yesterday the fuse tripped and with out the compressor turned on the switch box doesnt work (which meant no getting of the ground) so in order to get of the ground i simply turn the fuse back on and every thing worked fine for about 5 or 10 minutes. Then i tripped again..If anyone could help me out this would be great or if someone that lived close to me and new a little more about the truck than i do *cough* Outkastdawg *cough*

Thanx in advanced guys....peace

im gonna be honest with ya without looking at it i cant help but i would look for something grounding out which would cause the circuit breaker to trip. and on the switchbox check the switch for the compressor i think there is gonna be three wires connected to it a power, one to the compressor, and one to the switch box just hook the wire for the box to the battery with a fuse that way it will work at any time. and for the pressure switch just run your main power to one side of the switch and run your compressor to the other side. i hope this helps ya

this might help with wiring diagram for the switch box and it show you how to hook up everything for a air ride.

the way dev posted up is the best way to do it. ditch that switch on the dash and run the wire to a switch ignition source. trust me there will be a day you are in a hurry and forget to turn it off which can lead to a dead battery in no time at all.
