Front bag pics, help!!!

guys i dont mean to be a post whore , i am just wondering what you guys think. i am worried about the lower bag plate stabbing the bag....... any suggestions? should i use or not use the big 1/2in metal strap or trash it?

I aint ever installed bags before but i have checked out a bunch of articles on here. check out i think in the tech write up by members and check out the post on front bag set up on mazdas by devb22. looks like to me ur top mount needs to be at more of an angle but check that out. if anything ask dev hes a really cool guy......LaTa

I think most on here have trashed the lower plate and fabed up there onw mount.

From the last pic, it would seem that your LCA is not up as high as it would need to be for the truck to lay out. Yet the bag looks like it is already being distorted some. I know this topic (or something really similar) was discussed recently. There were several pics in that topic of front bag mounts that may help with your situation.

i would shave the lower bracket down some so it dont have so much angle, to where you can still get the bolt on. then find out the size of the bag compressed. then cut a square peice of 2x4 to the size of the bag compressed this can give you a guage to get you top bracket angle. put the peice you cut on the bottom bracket and jack up the lower control as high as you can then. use the peice of 2x4 you cut, as a guage for the top bracket to get your angle.
