okay so looks like i may actually finally get to start cutting the front of the dawg up this week. right now im running 17's with 45 series tire. drop spindles, flipped bj's, and cranked torsions a little bit. also sticking with 2wd metal. should i use the drop spindles or not? i want to be able to lay out and have no rubbing issues when layed out or at full lift. i also do not want to chew tires up when at full lift or ride height. help me out here because i know there is mixed feelings about the spindles.

thanks in advance

oh and i also plan on most likely goin to an 18" wheel size in the future. with a smaller series tire so it will most likely be the same overall diameter as now.

I vote for no. If they do indeed push the tire out 3/4" per side as I have heard, that will cause some issues. Its possible to lay it on 18s, and your camber will be good at about 3" off the ground anyways. As long as you don't drive an inch off the ground all day every day you'll be good.

So according to your post you already have the drop spindles on your truck? When you cut it up see if they rub, if not leave them on. Thats my vote, not need to do unnessicary work if the wheels and tires still fit.

Seth, from my measurements the drop spindles push the wheel .500" futher than stock spindles.

talk to steve@ can-do and buy upper and lower arms , they will compensate for the spindles

I also make tubular arms that accomodate the amount the drop spindles push out your wheels. They also eliminate the factory strut rod and lay on 20's.

When my mazda gets bagged, I plan on having spindles. Reason why....I am one of those retards that likes to rattle my nuts when the truck smacks the ground. I love a truck that cracks concrete when laid out.

so, I say keep em.
