hey guys another question for ya

so ive been driving the truck around for a few days, and it seems like the suspension is alot softer than stock. (just droped it around 4 front- 4 back) now i thought normaly it would be alot stiffer? because right now i haven't had a chance to get new shocks so it bounces around and bottoms out the shocks and rubs the tires on the fenderwells going around corners..... also it even goes down about 3/4 of an inch when i get into it. and im only 160lbs..
so not shure what todo about that. any ideas guys

i'd start with new shocks. seein as its over 20 years old and probly original shocks. see what that does for ya.

def. the shocks... i just changed mine and let me tell ya.... the shock that were on the truck must of been the original because i could push then in and out like nothing.... bought some monroe gas-matic shocks for $18 each.... rides a hella lot better

Just cause you can compress a shock with your hands don't mean its bad.

When its bad it will leak fluid and or it feels literally like there is nothing in there.

I took mine off today and you can compress them easily. Now, try doing it as fast as you can and hard as you can! I did'nt think so!

its common for you to be able to compress it with your hands, especially since its a light truck. now if it doesn't rebound on its own throw it away.

how did you drop the ass end? monoleaf? if you pulled any leafs out that's why its softer...

Cranked torsions equal soft ride, But I'd check your shocks, I just got this Mazda 4 days ago and dropped it more then your saying and dont get near anything rubbing or bottoming

i droped the back with drop blocks, but the back is fine. its just the front.

parked next to a stock mazda its about 5in down in the front. right now im running stock rims/tires and the are rubbing in the inner fenderwells when you turn hard...

but it just seems way too soft.... it shouldent go down further with me sitting in it in my mind... and like i said im bout 160.. it rides like a limp noodle, flops around everywhere, thats why i was thinkin shocks.

If needed i can take pics of it... just tell me what you want
