Whats needed to get the bearing off? I have my drive shaft all torn apart now im stuck getting the old bearing off. some kind of puller maybe? Anyone ever do this or should i take it some where?

u should be able to knock it off with a hammer....they arent pressed on

for real... i was swappin my trans and i was takin the driveshaft off n my whole housing was gone, like the rubber part, i guess its supposed to have rubber holdin the bearing??? I dont kno, mine was jus floppin around in there though, gotta get that fixed... haha

Yeks! I found it was easyer and cheeper to just buy a decent driveline from the auto junk yard.

There is a puller to use to remove it. Ive also found its cheaper to go the junkyard and find a truck with a good bearing and get the whole driveshaft.

i changed mine just beat it off with a hammer. make sure your new one is the right size tho i had a lot of trouble with that.

guess i'm the only one that paid to have it done. i didn't wanna mess with it so i had a brand new one installed at the same time i had the new pinion flange put on, slip yolk installed, and driveshafts balanced.

i just did mine a week or two ago, popped right off with a hammer

i got my rpms up to about 5 grand and dumped the clutch...it came out with ease.
