i went to les schwab today to get mesurments for a 20" wheel and tire 215/30/20 for setting up my axle to do the new 4-link. with this wheel/tire it is 25" tall and 8.5 wide. i wasn't sure what to get far as tire with. i'm hopping these will tuck in back with stock bed and same for the front except they'll be 18" with stock fenders. if someone could let me know if these will tuck or not that would be great. the wheels i'm going to get will have a positive offset, kind of thinking the bolt pattern will be flush or really close to the outside of the wheel. i think this will help them tuck.

and maybe a quick pinon question.
before i start my new 4-link i'm going to check my pinon to see if it is set right at ride height now, if it isn't i'm guessing i should set it to the right angle before i start putting my tabs on the axle. i've never done this before but i'm thinking that if pinon was off "wrong angle" and i set up my tabs and bars then went back and adjusted my pinon it would throw my tabs and bars out of placement. wondering if this is true or not?

thanks.

not sure bout the wheels, sounds like they'd tuck if the offset is that much

pinion question..... why would the pinion be off from stock?? I would go with what it is now because they are set from factory to have the least amount of vibration, if you start messin with the angle you might start gettin more vibration, jus a thought....

that would work but its not stock. got a 4-link in right now that someone else did with bags over the axle but as it lays out the axle looks like it rolls up causing bags to set really crooked. and i only getting about 3" of lift or so. so i'm just going to redo it with a try 4-link with bags on bars.

are these stupid questions?

Put the angle finder on the tailshaft of the transmission

the tailshaft meaning the end of the driveline? the part that slips into tranny? is that the tailshaft? sorry for the stupid question just never herd tailshaft before. if it is, i don't have enough room to put finder on because of the crossmember right below it.
so what if i put finder on u-joint cap on tranny side that should be the same, right? and as long as truck is level say 12" or so off ground enough room to get under, the degree should be the same at ride height long as i keep it level.

thanks for the help.
