ok, first off i put some 3 inch blocks in rear and torsioned down the front. i removed my rear bump stops and cut the rubber down on the fronts. well i noticed it hit down on the front alot. so i ordered toxic shocks front and rear. i put them all in today, and removed the front bump stops. problem is now it just rides on the bracket that held the bump stops. i really didnt notice any stiffer shock on the front, havent drove it yet, just pushed down on front end and was banging the bracket. when i sat in it, i was on the bracket. i guess i need to tighten up my torsions? i just ordered a set of 205-40-17s for my esclade wheels that will be on in a few days, then comes the mono leaf in rear. anyone help me about this bump stop problem

that's the thing man. you either have to lift it up and get everything away from that bump stop, or cut it out. look at the front bagging thread in the tech by members section. it will show you how to remove the mount.

yeah, like he said.. it's the only way. :/

i couldnt find the thread... should i just use a sawzaw? thats what i have been using on everything else... even cut my shocks out with it.

you could i guess.. do they not just unblot? i know mine did.. but it's on a toyota.

well the bump stops in front do bolt in, but thats just for the rubber piece, it still has the metal bracket that held the bump stop that its hitting now, guess it will get some more cutting this weekend...

if you don't mind the rough ride you can get super low profile bolt in bumpstops from most auto parts stores (pepboys is good for that)..they are cheap..because you might run into a bad tire rub problem through corners with no stops at all if it's not bagged..i got 17's on my with rekeyed torsions and toxic's along with two inch drop spindles and mine still rubs alittle pulling into certain places...i had it on the bumpstops with no torsions at all on Z71's with no rub at all and it was slammed..rode kinda stiff but no rub...

yeah, mine's bagged.. soon as i got it, front was already bagged, so..

do you have the link to rekey torsions? i know once my new 205/40/17s come in, i am doing a mono leaf in rear and cutting the bump stop bracket out....

i understand what your going thru and the oonly way is to cut the bracket out and then no worries..
