I'm sure theres a clear answer for this, but I'm missing it.

205-40-17= 23.5inches

23.5(tire height) + 4 (rear end diameter) = 27.5/2 = 13.75 (top of the rear end)

13.75 (top of the rear end) - 12 )stock frame height) = 1.75 (so the bottom of the notch needs to sit 3 inches taller.)

Why can't you make a small c notch, and not make your bag setup go through the bed?
You can buy those rear bag brackets that put your bags behind and below your axle, then your top bag brackets don't need to go through your bed. The worst you will have to think about is something to do with your pumpkin.
Please tell me what I'm missing. THanks.

well 1st you need to take into concideration fitting heights and airline dont wanna pinch or crink anything, if your getting down to inches also take into concideration problems that a reason why people dont do it that way too im sure you could but those might be some reasons i dont know all the measurement factors but maybe that will help a lil

The bed will still have to be cut for the notch, theres not that much clearance under there. Youll have to cut a hole for the pumpkin and also make clearance for tabs and link bars depending how you do your link setup.

if your worried about your fittings and airline poking too high, flip your bag upside down, or install a 90* elbow fitting...
the axle tube diameter is more like 2 3/4" not 4, and i'm not totally 100% sure, but i think the rear kick is more like 10" not 12", so going off your measurement your tire is 23 1/2" tall so your axle center is 11 3/4" high... and plus half your axle tube (1 3/8") = 13 1/8"
your notch should be enough so you don't smack your axle on your frame when you lay out... i like to leave half to a full inch clearance.
say the frame was 10" off the ground layed out... you'd need at least a 3 1/8" notch... plus say an inch for clearance would be 4 1/8" and account for at least 3 inches of frame rail height.
you don't have that much clearance under the bed...

Thanks. That helps a lot. I got my numbers from other post on the site by using a search. If those are the real numbers that you gave me then it would be almost impossible to fit them all.

Thought of Z'ing the frame? Check out Mazdawg's truck. Fully bagged and no holes in his bed.
