Im having a problem keeping the wheel steady and centered above 25 mph. Its lowered... I dont know how much, but not low enough lol. The steering reacts to bumps, holes,...on the road and jerks hard either to the right or left. Its pretty bad, people think Im driving drunk. Im up for suggestions on what I could check for or replace. I was thinking maybe bad steering box????

Go to an aligment shop ASAP . A good aligment shop will point out what you need before they even touch it or align it. I think your steering columns are shot, or something happened when it was lowered by whoever lowered it. Do uo know how it was lowered? if the lower control arms were replaced with 3" drop ones then it will do that without the proper aligment. is your steering wheel lose or is there any slack to either side while parked? Can you give more details?

check ball joints and tie rod ends

It was actually fine when I first bought it lowered with stocks, I have some chevy fs wheels on it now and thats when this whole issue began. There is no slack when parked, lol I can tell I dont have power steering. I was thinking maybe the wider tire I have on there could also be an issue, but I dont see why it would jerk that bad.

Hey man, The rims alone should not do that unless the inner bore is smaller than that of the diameter of the tabs on the front hubs. But adding width to your front will enhance problems you may have had with your steering that were not as nooticeable. Do check your balljoints and tierod ends. They are probably worn.
jack up the front of thetruck and check for slack at the wheels. Shake them up good. You might need bearings as well.

have you checked your lugnuts to see if they are tight? if you didnt get the centers of the wheels bored then the wheels may be teetering on the hub tabs on the truck. might be making them wobble if the lugs arent tight and the wheels dont fit right.

yes the center of the wheels have been bored out and the lug nuts are tight. I am going to check the front end jacked up.

yeah man, keep us posted. At one point my wheels were doing something similar. It turns out my tie rods were worn out, and the pitman arm was shot as well. I have had to replace my upper control arm bushings as well.

ok just finished checking out the front end and it looks like I have alot of bushings to replace and most likely the ball joints, there is small play. Any good place that sells all the front end bushings as a kit?

There is always ebay and you can get the whole set for less than $100 or close to that, compared to $254 at the auto parts store. But I'm not sure how reliable they are. But consider this. even the stuff you buy at the auto parts store will say "made in taiwan"
