These questions have probably been asked before and im sure i have asked and have forgotten. Fittings on the bag itself how tight does that need to be. Also on the front set up they say its better to plate the frame before mounting the bag brackets. What is the best thickness for that. Any help would be great. Thanks

To answer your first question... the bag company should have a torque spec for how tight, but i just snug it up and then tight it about two more full turns, really depends on the type of fitting on how tight it gets. The second question answer is... if you are referring to the truck in the pic I'm guessing you have I-beams, most bag brackets that you buy to weld on are thick enough just weld them on, now if you are making you own bracket to weld on the frame I would make it aleast 1/4 inch and that should be part of your bag bracket. Hope that helps.

thanks for the answer to my fitting question. as for the thickness of the plate. its not for the truck in the picture. Its for an 87 B2000. Everyone says to reinforce the frame before welding the brackets to the frame. Thanks

Anything within 1/8" to 3/16" will be fine...1/4" is a little overkill imo, but can be used as well...

Just keep in mind you already have the thickness of the frame plus whatever you use to plate it!

Well since its for a real Mazda...LOL Yeah all you need to do is just weld a 3/16 plate on the frame section where you mount the bag.
