HEY Anyone out there ever done a rear-disk brake conversion? I was dreamin of doin this but thought it would be best to just use a rear end out of a Chevy Colorado. But is it the same width? As for the colorado has rear-disk brakes. Or is there a beter way that has not been shared?

Its not an uncommon swap. . . . I think the early 90s pathfinders is what the rear end come out of. . .

If you can find a rear out of a mitsubishi montero sport from the late 80's to early 90's some of them came with rear disc brakes. An they a about 2" narrower then our rear.

use a rear end out of a 94 nissan pathfinder and it is a little shorter too which is nice.

just came across this thread, how far into the 90's are we possily talking on the montero? becasue there's a 95 or 96 in the yard close by, also im assuming some sort of porportioning valve (however you spell it) has to be added since it's a big difference in pressure, and how involved is the swap?

Like 90-91. The new year models than that the rear is as wide as the mazda rear.
