my bag mount looks way too long..do i need to cut part of it off? I know you want the bag as close to the frame as possible but if i leave it the way it is the bag is at least 4in away from the frame. I will post a pic once the batt. in my camera is charged.

yes you have to cut the mount to fit.keep in mind you want the bag to completely collapse on itself. they come that way because the are a universal torsion bar bag mount.

thats what i was thinkin..about how much should i cut off?

Ya you have to see where the mount SHOULD be and measure to see how much you need to cut off. . . I cut off, i think, if i remember correctly, like 4" off mine. . But you shouldnt cut off as much as i did. . I don't think. . .

What I would do, is pancake the bag. . put a plug in it, to keep it pancaked. . raise the lower control arm to where it will be when laid out. . place the bag on the arm. . And measure from the the frame to the center of the bolt holes on the bag. . . And then transfer that to the bag mount. . and cut off a lil less than you measured jus to be safe. . then test fit it. . and cut off more if necessary to get the bag to pancake perfect. . . jus make sure to get the upper and lower mounts parallel with each other so the bag sits right when dropped. . . And doesnt pancake crooked. . .

i know you probley already have it done by now but airbagit.com have mazda spacific front brackets and just make sure if you order them make sure they send you the right and left side.I order a set and the idiots sent me (2)pass side and when i called them about it they swore up and down they sent me both sides so they sent me a pic and you can even tell in the pic that they were both the same side.I had to go to the owner of the company to make this right and have them send me the correct parts. it put me back about a week but they sent me the correct brackets and then had the balls to say since we made a mistake we will give you 10% off any thing i buy in the next 30 days which was bs but they are nice brackets and work very well

Thats cuz you bought it from airbagit.com. . . I wouldn't even be caught dead lookin at their website. . .

Regular torsion brackets work great. . I have never seen side specific mazda brackets but I really dont see the point. . . Theres so many variables that change the front setups in these trucks. . Its not like an s10 or whatever. . So you really need a universal kit to adapt to all the different ways to set up the fronts of these trucks. .

And sittinlow22. . to answer your question, the bracket is "offset" because its centered up on the lower control arm. . . Its not really offset. . .

Those aim brackets will cause your bag to rub on the frame. But yeah it will not be centered under the upper control arm mount because its centered on teh lower control arm
