Got a few questions about some 4-link parts. What kind of material is recomended to make the bars from as well as diameter an etc.? And for those of you using heim joints what size do you recomend and is it smart to use the self lubricating or not?

steel all the thornbecks are 1/4 wall i am pretty sure heim's depend on what bung u weld in. i havnt used the self lubers yet but i think it would cut down on the squeaks you get or maybe thats just me. i wana try rod ends and see if they help any with that.

also where are u at in nebraska???

Make sure you get good heim joints, i would get the self lube. You can always tell the ones that have the cheep joints by all of the squeeking.

I would say 3/4" heims with a 3/4-16 thread on them, you may also want to run some high missalignment spacers as well to get better articulation. The spacers will also drop you bolt size down to about 1/2". as far as tube goes i would say 1" 3/16 wall drilled and tapped or you can run 1.5" 1/4 wall and use weld in bungs or, 1.25" 1/8 wall for the same bungs as well. These are more of the common numbers in the mini truck scene but you can make use of others as well. They also make greeseable heims as well but, they do cost a bit more.
