best thing to do is to compress the bag and put some tape over the port hole. then install it on the lower bracket. then start fitting it in like a sandwich. that will help better than imagining how big it is and where it might rub and what not.

Hey Bro, I was just reading this thread and thought I would put in my $0.02 worth. I just redid my fronts a bit. I started out with RE-6 bags on the front. Like you my LCA plates over hang my BJs a little( maybe 1/2"). I was not getting any lift until almost 50psi. I now am running a pair of Dominator 2500 bags which have a taller stance to begin with. I also pushed the bags as close to the frame as the slots in the mounts would allow. I now get 2" more lift at 100psi as well as a much softer ride. I don't know about notching the frame for a closer mounting point, but you will want to mount the bag as close to the frame as possible. the closer to the pivot point the more lift and the softer the ride at normal driving height. I am rolling fully untucked up front at 60 psi, before I was pushing 85 psi to be able to turn my wheels much at all. I like the new bags, but I am sure the moving the bags in an inch helped a bunch too. If you haven't fully welded in your lowers you may want to push them a little farther in. Like I said just my thoughts and I am far from a professional at this stuff. Keep on it and good luck. Also remember that threads are useless w/o pics.
