I know I have seen some of you guys wondering which shock can be used as a alternative for when static lowered and...well I know for mine I was 8" collapsed and about 13-14" extended (keeping in mind I indexed my torsion roughly about 4" lower than stock) These are working great for me and I ride better than I did stock so I am extremely happy)

so I looked up the proper height and size of shocks...I know I have read on here also that some of the guys use the Isuzu P'up shocks...well those are the proper size

here is a link with model number so you can hit up Autozone and get you some shocks without having to spend the time hunting with the counter guy wondering which one it is

Hope that help some of ya's

just for fronts? i/m needing to do rears soon, and this is some good info. thanks and what year isuzu?

Its a 92 Isuzu shock front shock. Rears for me measured out to be 21" extended and 17 static (ride height) so anything really for rears...say if you had a 15" compressed and 21" extended...should be good...I went with some air shocks...but dunno if I like em yet or not...course I am only running about 35lbs in em right now

Since the rears dont mount direct to the axle...you can even use stock....

awesome! you have the air shocks. were they meant for an isuzu pup? i did a quick search and on this site (), not evena listing for mazda b22, but there is for a 92 pup... i carry a load once in a while and just did a few dirt runs... axle bouncing is new fun... i want to c notch the frame back there i think too.

naw...I just got the regular air shocks for our trucks.....since the shocks are direct to the axle there was no need to get different shocks in the back.....I am gonna throw some shackles back there tho for the meantime...I run about 30-40lbs in each and I see I got some rake in the rear....yea...axle bounce SUX!!!! LOL!

do you have a link or any more info to the ones you got? and your not sure if you like them? they just ride funny?

Vatozone airshocks...nothing special about them.....I dunno how I like em....thinking today I will throw my shackles on for the time being till I get all my air stuff lined up and see about keeping some air in them while cruising....I noticed with my 3" blocks, re indexed torsions and NO air in...I sit pretty good...but beat the hell outta myself with axle banging around on frame...so I threw some air in the shocks and noit be raised up in the rear again which is exactly what I wanted to get away from....I MIGHT make some shock relocators today and try to get welded in and see if I mount them up a tad higher...still have the air in them to keep them from basically being bottomed out and still have the ride height desired....

and no...not riding funny....im just a picky lil basterd and if I dont like something...I speak my mind about it....ride was they are actually pretty comfy...but then there...I am running about 30lbs of air which aint much....I could imagine if I was running like 150lbs...that would be somewhat more stiff...lol

here is the link

I used toxic chocks on the front of all my static trucks. Dont know the part number but they have the shortest one I could find. With the truck on the ground, turn the wheel and get a measurment of the shock. This will help you determine what size you need.

did mine on a lift...guess thats cheating in a way but much easier than crawling underneath a now lowered vehicle....I had toxics...$60 a pop....this was a cheap and easy solution to those.

Still gonna swap out rears and add shackles to the back for now...dont like my ride height right now and lower pro tires on order so I can drop front more also...but I should have enough give in the fronts to accomodate for the extra drop now also

and also for note...when measuring on the ground...thats your static height...what about compressed or extended lengths? That was more crucial to me...cuz if you measure for your extended as sitting on the ground...then when driving over a pothole there is nothing for it to give on...your already fully extended out...sure you have compression left....but no extension...I get about 4" either way

lol broke the drivers side strut mount off twice recently... it was custom after a previous owner was planning to bag the truck and only started one side. my friend only had his 110 fluxcore mig unit avail... and apparently forgot how to set it up decent... so the second time i set it up for more amperage... and less wire feed... see how this one holds. (i took a few welding courses, but he's been welding for years...lol)

ok i'll keep those ones in mind... they seem to handle it pretty good? have you had them pumped up and carried any kinda load back there?
