first off...awesome you can get a diesel.....that rocks.

Secondly...yes that is a legal thng in the states....I know Norway has some issues with anything modwise to a factory state vehicle ( I have a VERY good friend that lives over there)

You can do 3 or possibly 4" lowering blocks without cutting the frame.....maybe eve 5"...but I think your cutting it pretty close there.....I am gonna do 5 inch and shackles...but I am throwing a notch in....

I would do some measuring and get a exact height you are desiring and then figure out if you can do without chopping the frame up.

really like the heigt of this ride
this guy ride on 18 but he has air shocks, (where do i buy that, how do i set it up, some one have a link to a project that has set up air shocks) do i need to chop the frame for that ?.

and read some thing to re index the torsion bars, instead of just turn them down, how do i re index the torsion bars.

sorry for all the noob questions hehe

I can answer a couple for ya...

indexing means you are removing the adjustor nut completely off the truck, pounding the assembly that the adjustor screws into...turn that a few notches (splines) and remounting the adjustor nut back in....its very easy and so worth it....first off I retained my ride with this being done and if you just crank the adjustor bolts down...eventually sooner or later, you gonna whack one or both of those adjustor bolts on the ground..then gonna be calling around looking for new ones or calling somebody on here about getting some. A big hint...throw some penetrating spray (liquid wrench worked very well for me) on the adjustor BEFORE you start to work on it....I sprayed mine the night before and again the morning of doing the work...made life ALOT easier

As far as RacerX's air shocks...I am looking into what model shocks he used as he cant remember the model #'s....I just contacted him myself.....you wont have to chop the frame but its not just straight nut and bolt...mostly but I believe there will be a lil figuring on getting them in there...will keep you updated on this as I learn and find more. Oh and air shocks...local auto parts stores...$65 a pair from autozone...mount, run air lines, drill a hole for the T fitting...screw together...air up/down till happy While I would LOVE to find some that are faster....and I know me....I WILL find a way...I will be looking into a way to work on these as well

as far as the rims sizes...I am next to no help as I have chosen for the time to keep the factory 14s on for the time being.....till I choose my new rims I see no point in me spending money on those till I find the set I want and get them and tores installed...and till that time comes...I am gonna stay static dropped...although I am looking at a way to get even lower today since getting new lower pro tires today...so I wont have the rubbing issue I have been having.

Hope that helps
