ok, i have read posts in this area about airbags, but it just seems confusing, i have seen 4 link, reverse 4 link, stock a arms, toyota a arms, there are so many options. my question would be, where do i start? i know to buy wheels and tires first, then build around that. i know how to weld and fabricate, so building a subframes wouldn't be too difficult. i would like to go 20" wheels, but i do like the escalade wheels off 2002 escalades. do i buy a kit or buy everything seperate? how the suspension work on the highway? as i would have to drive this truck as well to shows. can i keep the sway bar on the front without ripping it off? or do i have to sacrifice somethings to lay out? any advice, good or bad will be appreciated. thanks everyone!

air suspension is just like any other spring type of suspension as far as driving, towing, etc. the only difference is adjustability and variable spring rates. you mention some concern to driving on the highway. Big rig trucks drive highways everyday, and they even tow massive loads using airbags as their sole suspension in the rear. that should say something about reliability and durability
a properly setup air suspension will last you a lifetime. even a half ass setup will likely last you a very long time. there's not much to go wrong as long as its done right. take care to prevent the bags and airlines from rubbing on anything or being routed next to something hot, and your golden.
