Air ride makes kits for actual performace and handling.. like the strut bags. Standard air bags typically do not equal good handling. I am on my fourth bagged truck and not one has handled ANYTHING like any non-bagged vehicle. # of vales, size of bags....nothing seemed to really make much difference. Full size and mini alike. But.....if you can squeeze 2600 bags up front and fun a good stiff shock, you will probably do alright. It seems to work best running seperate vavles to each bag....so even though you dont want FBSS the setup will give you less body roll in corners.
If you go the route of strut bags ( which is probably going to be your best handling air ride setup ) then you might even wanna consider a Toyo front clip with standard upper and lower A arms.....really you can do anything though....fabrication has little in the way of limits.
All that said....I am making the assumtion that what Air Ride Tech makes for a late model Camaro will perform as much as it can in a similar fasion on your mini
