I know the ride gets worse when lowering by turning torsions and the lower you go. if you index the torsions 2-3 splines then turn the torsions for a 4-5" drop how bad would the ride be assuming you removed bump stops and had good/shorter shocks?

in other words is it necessary to get spindles to lower 4-5" and still have a good ride?

It actually gets better

I got my mazda down about 5-6 inches and the ride sucks lol. That is with me reindexing the tortions i think i did 4 splines. At about 4-5 inches using the isuzu pup shocks you are maxed out and there is no room for travel in the suspension and that is where I am at now. So I am looking for spindles now because that will give me about 2 more inches of travel. Hope this helps.

the only thing it does is move the brackest up so they dont drag it may softer the ride (very little ) because you get the bars as tight as they were (spring rate thing ) but it isnt going to be noticable because you will bottom b4 spring rate goes into effect

Mine's pretty damn bouncy, but I also have stock shocks and still have my lower bumpstop brackets.

If you get spindles you need to run a 16" or bigger wheel for them to clear, and they also make the wheels sit out a little further, so you may encounter rubbing problems as I did with my Escalades.

However, your truck is lowered so it's going to ride like shit no matter what. You want a cushy ride, buy a Cadillac.

I have been suprised at how WELL Mazda actually ride when slammed out...the ony problems arise from lack of clearance and shock length. BUT...if you wanna slam out a Mazda...GOTTA remove the bump stops! Otherwise BOUNCY as crap!

Of course.....another great reason is so that you dont wanna snatch off your torsions! I have done that a few times, lol

I will reindex the torsions, flip b/j, cutout bump stop, toxic shocks, c-notch rear, remove leaves, 3" block, and better shocks and hopefully will be the ride I'm looking for.

I already got my chrome escalades on with 215/45s and a 4" front drop would sit right on top of the tire

not true....

I bought this new in 90
this pic was around 92 and it rode like a cadillac
spindles, torsions, tokiko shocks, front and rear sway bars
2-3" ground clearance

my 95 tacoma somewhere around 99-00
on 18s with about a 6" drop
toxic shocks
also rode like a cadillac

Well mine are indexed like 3 or 4 splines, can't really remember, but my front rides amazing, its the rear that kills it, monoed with overload and 3 inch blocks. I will have to post pics of how low my truck is now, I've taken them, just haven't uploaded yet, but it's hella low, and rides really good.

OK here's how I'm sittin right now, like I said 3 or 4 splines, and rides like a dream, and I still have about 2 or 3 inches to the bumpstop brackets, and they barely ever bottom out, but still gonna cut em one day, lol
