I've heard that on some trucks people have been swapping out 2wd torsion bars for 4wd bars to provide a little more stiffness in the front end. Seeing as I only have a 2wd, I can't compare it to a 4wd. Does anybody know if there is a difference between 2wd and 4wd torsion bars???

stiffer ride? get you some decent shocks!!!

Ok, that's good info. Thanks!!! I've already put new Monroe Reflex shocks all the way around. I've dropped the front via the torsion bars and cut off the bump stops. The problem is I only have about 1 1/2 inches of travel before the tire bottoms out in the wheel well. I was thinking that stiffening up the front end with 4wd torsions would help from bottoming out. Any ideas???

Actually sounds like a pretty good idea. For most normal sport compact cars you install shorter / stiffer springs to lower the car and still maintain a decent ride. In your case the stiffer torsion bars along with the adjustable nature of the torsion bar should get you want you want. And as Andrew already stated - ya gotta run a stiffer shock with the stiffer spring.

Is anyone familiar with Monroe Reflex vs. different shocks? I would love to have stiffer shocks in the front, but only if it's going to make a huge difference. Keep in mind these Monroe Reflex shocks are shiny new...
