Any 1 sucessful installed Rack and pinion ?

As the title says, Has any one sucessfully installed one? I have been thinkin about it and not sure what is needed and how hard would this be.

Just hating the gap in my steering.

Never seen it done on a stock frame before. What do you mean the gap in your steering?

stock frame no, but i have rack and pinion. i think he means the slop in the steering.

What kind of rack and pinion did you use?

I betcha you could easily get one to fit from a MkII VW.

A custom shopI used to work for specialized in making rack & pinion steering kits for 1st gen RX7s using VW r&p racks. They would make a custom mount for the rack to slide through and it would bolt to the frame. Quite ingenius. I'm not sure if the company is still in business as this was about 5 years ago.
