I'm new to the scene...I'm getting ready to start cutting on my 86 b2k (in projects)...could someone explain the pro's & con's of z'ing your frame over notching it? if they even correlate with each other.

the cons to me would be a weekend of work of ur time..and i mean alot...the pro's well it will raise ur frame(front clip) up if u wanna run huge wheels..then u have to drop ur motor mounts or else ur engine will stick out the hood so much lol...drop spindles and fliping ball joints will get u to lay 18's and possibly 19's but 20's u need to pie ur upper control arms and notch it...or u "Z" the frame and eliminate my above statement minus the engine height difference...

^^ I believe he is talking about Z'ing the rear frame instead of installing a conventional notch over the rear axle.
demonek- talk to mazdawg (Mikey) he did the Z on the rear of his truck.
