Truth is you should go for a 4-link.

My 2 pennies.

Look, the best you can hope for on an un-notched truck it to take the factory pack apart leaving only the Longest one (the main with the eyes) and the short fat one (Overload). Then a three inch block will have your axel just kissing the frame. Even with this set-up I would recommend a small c-notch and air shocks for comfort. If you have a "monster notch", save your pennies and get a proper link suspension system. Running straight mono-leaf is very dangerous. They tend to snap, especially if the truck is an older model (Mazda b-series) Springs work harden over time and do not like to overextend. Never heat your springs. You will have people on many different sites tell you that it is OK to run mono leaf with maybe bags over the axel. I have a word for vehicles like that...unsafe.

True, 4 link is the way to go. The frame is notched but whoever did it , did it poorly and now im patching it up for a friend. Its not that big of a notch for some reason. The top of the under side of the notch is the height of the top of the stock frame...Even with the one leaf it did not lay frame it was aprrox. 4.5" off the ground... with the old set up i took the bags out and let it sit as is and with the one leaf in it did not even come close to the frame. i had to put about 400lbs on the frame to get the dif to tuck into the frame.

Has anyone herd of a mono leaf laying frame ????

ive seen a few mono leaf set-ups lay frame... mono with 4" blocks and maybe 16's with a lo pro tire.... what size rims and tires are on the truck?

They are 15" pathfinder wheels with a prolly 40 series tire.

ther 50's smallest they make

I have also seen a second gen truck laying with mono leafs and a 4 or 5" block and laying on 18's with 35 series tires, so that would be about 1/2" more diameter than a pathy wheel with a 50 series

to answer your question, throw the monoleafs into the nearest trash can or recycle bin, and buy a 4link. that, my friend, is how you lay out the back.
your notch might be big enough. measure the difference of the frame rail under the cab to your frame kick in the back and subtract the half the diameter of your tire and don't forget to figure in half the diameter of your axle housing
IF the tire your running(i can guess) is a 205/50/15 then it's roughly 23" tall.
