I planning on bagging my truck at the first of the year i wanted to get opinions on candospecialties a- arms for
the mazdas are they worth the money and how difficult are they to install or will stock arms work with a drop
spindle .

drop spindles will work with the stock control arms. iam pretty sure the cando ones will work as well. they are pretty sweet a arms from what ive heard. expensive but worth it

your stock arms will work just fine. you might have to reangle a ball joint or two but the tube arms always look better IMO. looks more custom

thanks for the info, does anybody have any pics where they installed them i heard u have to weld in the lower
arm is this true?

also depends on the setup your going with. if its just a 17 or smaller then you dont wanna run those tube arms because they will lay out before the frame does because they are designed for like 20s and 22s. unless you get a set of STOCK designed tube arms.

I have a set of CanDo mazda to mazda spindle arms but you have to run AIM drop spindles with them as they use S-10 balljoints upper and lower.

To install them you have to remove the bushings in the frame for the lower arms (which was very time consuming). Then there is that machined shaft that you hammer in where the bushings were and weld them in.

My truck layed full frame on 215/35/18'2 with all stock spindles and notched and reangled stock arms.

They are really nice arms and look great and worth the money if you really need them, but in my opinion if you dont plan on running 20's (which I am) or larger wheels I would say you dont "need" them for your truck.

dave since you have these arms and everything installed could you clarify for me that the arms will lay before the frame or atleast scrape if you were to run 17s or 18s with those arms?

I have kustom werks arms (same as cando) with toy spindles and 18s and they work just fine. I am running a 225/40 tire. I think you would be ok to run a 17 if you wanted to also. The frame i have had 14" with a smaller tire on them when i got it for rollers and it laid fine. didnt lift a whole lot though. The lower arms mount at the same height so there wouldnt be any reason to hit different then the factory arms. if you wanted the arms and a smaller wheel then it would just be where you put the bag The geometry of the suspension wont let the arm hit before the frame would. the big differance in the arms is the ball joints from what i can tell. Hope that gives you what you where looking for
