Hey everyone, new to the forum, thankfully i found it ha.
Like alot of people im not new to working on vehicles, as ive been doing it since i was a teenager, however. i am new to trucks.
Ive got an 89 mazda b2200, stock height truck. I want to lower it some, im gonna run blocks in the back, and see how i like the height. I know how to install the blocks and such, the only thing im a little confused about is lowering the front with the torsion bars. I have absolutely no idea what to do up front with that, ive tried to find detailed pictures for reference, but have had no luck on it.
basically what im asking is, could anyone show me pictures of the process of cranking down the torsion bars.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advanced!

lowering the front is pretty self-explanatory. just jack up the front of the truck to where the tires are off the ground (so there is not weight on the torsion bars). then look under the cab around where the seats are. you will see a bold on each side. you turn the bolts one way it lowers the front, you turn them the other it raises the front.

Yeah, basically just take a 17mm socket and loosen the torsion bar bolts. You'll notice them moving because the torsion bolt bracket will start lowering as you're loosening it. Expect to get a good amount of drop, but be careful of speedbumps as the brackets will hang below the frame causing the potential for them to be snagged.

What you ideally want to do is reindex the torsion bars. Here, you completely remove the bolt and bracket, pull the bars out, twist them in a few splines (turn driver's side clockwise and passenger side counter clockwise), and reinstall the bolts. This will give you the drop you want and keep the brackets tucked up above the frame so they won't get caught on anything.

yep its really that easy. i first thought ye right it cant be, but it sure was lol. just dont go too low cuz it will fugg with your camber i think.

im not worried about going to low, all of my other cars that ive had have always been pretty slammed.

If you want the truck to be "slammed" as well, you'll definitely want to reindex the bars, and you'll want to remove leaves and add blocks to the rear. Don't use a block bigger than 3" to be safe...though some go as high as 4" but def. stay away from 5" blocks. Most remove the 2 inner leaves and leave the short fat one and the single long one, and go for a 2"-4" block. In my sig, my truck is set up like that with a 2" block.

This is on 14s with reindexed bars and 3" blocks
