I took two leafs out of both leafsprings and added a 2" block on both sides. When I took the truck off the jack stands...the bump stop on the passenger side barely touches the frame. The drivers side bump is at least an inch below the frame. Its sitting on level ground.....what the stinking problem?/ I still have the ticking sound when I press the gas when I'm driving.....please help!!!

did you take the same leafs out of both sides? maybe the po took some leafs out... make sure you have the same about and same leafs on both sides....

Yes yes....same on both......there is only the main leaf and the overload (short thick one) spring. and I still have the stupid ticking noise!!!! This is frustrating!!!

maybe the ujoints on your driveshaft or the carrier bearing... possible the rear needs fresh gear oil.. does it drive fine just making the noise?
mazdab2600i   +1y
It drives great...like I said though...the ticking noise only happens when I am accelerating...otherwise..nice and smooth...still don't understand the heighth difference....have I totally messed this truck up??

did you lower the fornt at the same time cuz if you get the torsion bars off it creates a difference in hieght with the rear. sasw this on another forum

did you add angle to the pinion?
mazdab2600i   +1y
no i didn't...how doi go about doing that?????

when you lower these trucks it ads pinion angle unless you put in angled blocks..... are you sure you dont have the front torsions one lower then the other?

you could always just bag it and fix the problem. how sure are you that the ticking noise is a suspension problem? you sure the lifters are not ticking? or maybe an exaust leak?
