Front noisy as a mother

Front of my ute is creaking like a mother. Shoulds like it is coming from the ball joints> can just push down on front of ute and squeaks like hell. Can balljoints be squeaky? could it be something else? Any ideas would be? i did bushes not long ago with no avail
