So far I have heard that if you have 4x4 sheetmetal, 2" drop spindles and escalade rims ('03 17's"), you have to cut out part of the fender lip to make the rim tuck up into the fender. But If I bag it with the spindles, rims and 4x4 sheet metal, will the rim get enough negative camber as it goes up to not hit the fender (near the body line where the 4x4 flare flows into the fender... if that makes sence)

I just want to make sure I can put my spindles in and bag it and still lay frame.

Any help or thoughts.

why do you want to run a spindle with a 17"?

yea man...everynody says u don't need spindles unless ur going 20 and bigger, i don't have drop spindles, and we just bagged mine. with all stock parts on front and it will lay the crossmember, no problems and will fit a 40 series 18. u could probably set it up to lay a bigger will, but i built mine for 18's. and I have plenty of room between the stock wheels and 2wd fenders, not real sure on the eskies...

Youll have no clearance issues with the 4x4 metal, even with the drop spindles. I would suggest not using the spindles though, as you dont really need those unless your going bigger than an 18. Youll just lose lift otherwise.

Mainly I was just puting the spindles in so I could drive it after bagging it at my normal height (Top of the tire to the fender lip) and not have so much negative camber that I would run through tires like toilet paper after a wicked mexican food night.

I am not too worried about how much play I have in front since as I have it now is all the higher I need it to go. No issues with the clearance or bottoming out. I just want it to go from where it is now to frame on floor.

So I guess I am using the spindles just as a camber correction to build it for my ride height.

Thanks for your guys's imput though, I like hearing all the different angles of thought.
