Removing mounting bracket from SMC valves

Well I'm mounting my valves and the little silver bracket that comes on them is in the way plus i wont be using it so how do i removed the mounting bracket? i see there is a clip that slides off the very top of the valve does this remove the black plastic housing from the metal in order to remove the bracket?

I believe the clip comes off, then solenoid slides up, and the bracket has the 4 screws holding it on, also.

Yes there is 4 little allen screws
i didn't want to pull the clips off unless i knew what i was getting into
