Ok... I am playing with the idea of stock flooring my new mazda. Its not running, gonna need a new crank put in it... So why not pull the cab off and SFBD while I'm at it?

I have never bodydropped anything, bagged my mazda and my uncles toyota. I'm looking for some tips on how to do the SFBD on a mazda, and pics of it if possible. I've been told you can either build a new frame under the cab, or trim/shorten the stock frame enough to lay the rockers. I am leaning towards trimming/shortenning the stock frame, if this is even possible with a mazda.

Let me know what you guys think and whats the pros/cons of the bd, what problems am I gonnna run into etc....

your best bet is to make a frame.... i thought the same thing and did the stock frame cut down and it is a bitch load of work to do,not in the cutting part bud in the making every thing else work...to me if that much work is going to have to done then why not make a new frame, plus it will be ez'er to make a new frame....but if you want to go this way i cut off the top of the frame rails and did it that way, droped the cab mounts down, and then droped the motor down too to match
