what year shocks should I be looking for?
I was going to lower 3-4" in front and 4-5" in back
are these shocks too soft for this drop?

I plan to flip b/j's, reindex and turn torsions up front
remove 2 middle leafs 2-3" block and c-notch the frame

i think iwent with 87 or so. if you tell them you are looking for isuzu pup shocks they should find the right ones. they are only like 8 inches comp and 13 extended

I just bought some yesterday... I got them for an '86 but everything from '81-'95 is the same... The 4x2 shocks are 8.375 compressed (monroe) and the 4x4 are 8.875... stock mazdas are 9.25 so dont get the 4x4 ones just 4x2... monroe part number is 32206 if it helps

i picked up the 4x2 isuzu pup shocks and on my z71s with 55 series tread i bottomed out my tires on the inside of my fender wells. like i have the plastics removed and was hitting the bolts and steel inner fender on every little bump... i know these shocks work great if you have 14/15 inch rims and low profile tread... but not so well with wide chev 16s and a treadwall to keep your speedo accurate... i was thinking of using the 4x4 pup shocks for my particular drop and rim/rubber combo... just havent had the money
