possibly dumb question:
1st truck with adjustable suspension...
got a switchbox of ebay, since most other reputable sites are sold out it seems. truck came with 2 switches, im upgrading to 10.

heres the question. If i have the cord to my right, and the 12-prong switches are on the left of the box (like the pictures), should my 3-prong switches be on top, or the 6-prong?

from layitlow tech article:

how my switchbox is actually wired(colors changed for wires i have)

diagrams show 6-prong on top, but my box has 3-prong on top row...
just wondering whats normal, so i don't train myself wrong on my first truck, then end up dumping future trucks or other peoples trucks nose first cause i thought a switch was where it wasn't...
i gotta replace one 3-prong cause it sticks anyways. might as well arrange the rows right while im in there.

how is your 10-switch box layout?
thanks, Joel

From my experience there is no right way, even some of the switch boxes I have wired came with diagrams that weren't labled how they were wired

Yeah I cant sat I know of a "standard" on them.....I have three or four buddies around where I live with bagged trucks....and we have all helped each other on everything....Im pretty sure ours are all different....Its just kinda preference and what u get used to.

On mine for instance from left to right (assuming cord is on left) is

lol...well ive not driven the thing in so long i cant remember the pancake and seesaw are on the far right.... my individuals are all in one row (closest to u)...

Row on far side are ...left to right..... sides/rear/front/pancake or csaw whichever it is

Everyone is different. I have a generic 10 sw in my caddy and with the cord going towards the front of the car, the first 4 on the left are individual wheels. The 4 on the right are front, back, left side, right side. The bottom two are pancake and seesaw.

I have a nine switch from AVS in my Mazda that I love. It is laid out just like the truck.
With the cord going towards the front of the car,

Left Front/ both front/ Right Front

Left side/ pancake/ right side

Left rear/ both rear/ right rear

I just realized that the box layout in the first post is exactly like my generic 10 sw. If you are looking for a standard, I would stick with that.

For switch layout, it should be like the diagram you posted if the cord is going out to the right.

But like everyone said, we all wire them differently, so even though the 4 three prong switches would be layed out the same, they won't all do the same functions. Per that diagram you posted the 'Back Right' is actually my Front Left, the 'Back Left' is my Front Right, etc...

yeah its all up to you and how you wire it up to your valves

I'll just leave it how it is then. thanks everyone
