I know that on the 5th gen b series pickups you simply had to crank the torsion bars down to lower the front, but what about the 4th gen pickups? I have a 83 mazda b2200 and I was wondering how I should lower the front. I have seen numerous guides on the 85-98 mazdas, but nothing on these older pickups. What is the way to go with these older pickups?

I think you have the years and gens mixed up at least for the North American one.

up to 85 Gen1 - control arms - torsion bars
86-93 Gen2 - control arms- torsion bars
94-97 Gen3 - ibeams - coil springs
98+ Gen4 - control arms -coil springs

It should be similar for yours just crank the torsions, and drop blocks in the rear

77-85 Mazda trucks and Ford couriers (Gen 2 in North America) are Coilsprung suspension. For Static drop you are limited to cutting coils as there is no aftermarket support for these trucks as far as I know of

yup cut down the coils

Ok, also heard that you could use lowering springs from a Mighty Max, but cutting the coils is probably gonna be the easiest solution for a static drop.
