Need some help on how to mini c notch my 93 xcab b2600i. Was lookin for the exact specs on how much to cut out of the frame and what size piping to use to make the notch. I seen some minis using 5" diameter, 1/4" thick, cut in half and boxed in after. Dnt kno what would.be the best setup for me.

My current rear setup is monoleafed and 4" angle blocks sitting on frame. My rims are 18x8 with 215/35s tires.

I jus want a smoother ride and to tuck the back tires. Haha

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i had a 10" monster notch, but only used maybe half that settin on 18s so a 5" would prob be around the right size

Thanks mazdaman82. So using 5" diameter pipe should be good? About how much lower does it sit after its notched, being on my current monoleaf and 4" block setup?

When they say use a 5" pipe you are only using half so you will have a 2.5" notch in your frame. You could use a 6" pipe to give you 3" of notch but the more frame you lose in the notch, the weaker its gonna be. You can add to the top of your frame above of the notch to compensate for that. Measure between the frame and bed before you take the bed off. I think you have an inch of room between. This notch setup will not lay the rear of the truck out but just give you some more travel before bottoming out.

Yes I kno its gonna be cut in half, I was jus wondering how big of a mini notch I should make, I didnt want it too big or too small.

This this the one i found for hardbodys but I was unsure if their frame had different measurements from mazdas and I was unsure if their mini notch specs wouldnt be right for mine

i would lay the frame on the axle and then that would give you an idea of how far the bottom of the frame is from the ground. when i had my mazda with a 8inch notch i think i had about 3 inches from the top of the axle to the bottom of the notch when layed out on 16's with 35 series tires. NOt sure if the way you are wanting can be done with 18's but anything is possible i guess.

got an idea, maybe you could weld in a 1/2inch thick metal plate on top of the frame and then cut 2 gussets for the sides and weld it all up. that would give you the whole height of the frame for the notch??

that wouldnt be enough up top

So a 2.5" notch should be good enough guys? Should I throw in some airshocks too or jus regular toxic drop shocks? I dont intend to carry any heavy load but some people down here say the airshocks have better ride quality but I rode in my brother inlaws b2000 wit monoleaf, 3" blocks and airshocks and it wasnt that great

Was your bro in law's frame notched? I ride on air shocks, mono'd, and no notch yet. If I put a little air in the shocks it gets the frame up to where it doesn't hit the axle much. Rides awesome, but not as low. Other than hauling stuff, that'd be the only reason to run air shocks. Once I notch mine, I'll probably just use some DT's on the rear like the front...I love my Doetsche Techs!
