I dropped my truck with 3 inch blocks this weekend and it just wasnt enough. Ive debated trying to mono leaf it but havent decided. I have a few questions about it, one being is there any difference from leaving the overload spring on the bottom of the main or should i put it on the top? Also what type of shocks should i use to replace my rear and front?

A 3 inch block and monoleaf is gonna BURY the axle into the frame. If you want to sit axle on frame, 2" block and mono leaf. I hope you have some way of raising the rear, it will NOT be a pleasant ride (or anything close to it). Not sure on the shocks, sorry.

i ran mono leafed in my truck for years...two different trucks, a single cab and an ext cab...ride sucked... If you put the over load bar on the top you will be forcing your axle into the frame, with no bump stops and the over load bar on the bottom you will have likes an inch and a half of clearance, but will smash the axle into the frame with every bump and that's just as unpleasant as putting the over load on top...

I ride with overload on the bottom. It doesn't make the frame sit on the axle. There is about 1/2-one inch of clearance. But you will bang the axle on most bumps. I use air shocks in the rear to help with this. I air it up so there is about an inch of clearance and I rarely hit axle to frame, (I do have very little bump stop left since I cut them). The ride isn't horrible...actually pretty good for the most part.

Yeah im beginning to think i should have went 4" blocks in back, just doesnt seem low enough with 3". My daily drive to work is on a back road and its bumpy enough as it is. We will see how i feel wednesday and i might mono leaf it then. As for air shocks did you buy them online or at a local store?

Roughly the exact sand thing auto zone has but in a slightly different packaging... I personally didn't like the set I had until I modified them... Out of the box they have small airline and share one small fill/dump point... I got bigger line and ran individual valves on each line so the shocks could no longer transfer air between side to side while cornering... With a shared valve there is a lot of body roll in the back end

Not a bad idea there.
