Anyone know how far is too far. I'm adjusting the altitude of my truck right meow

Make a mental note of where the arm on the bar is before you start, turn the bolt out until the truck is at the height you want then pull the arm off and "clock" it back to about where it was in the beginning (this is called indexing the torsion bars). This way the truck will be lower but the arm will be at about the same place with about the same amount of thread engagement. Also, if you turn the bars WAY down and don't reindex the bars you will end up catching an arm on something and ripping it off (no fun!!). If none of that made any sense, just search the "how-to" on here for "indexing the torsion bars".

^^^ EXACTLY what he said! This is the right and safe way...don't be stupid about how you lower your ride or mess with your suspension

Thanks, Leland. I really want Teaspoon's bumper. Especially if y'all move to NC. I'd make that drive twice for a clean chrome LX bumper.

Well I was attempting to remove my t-bars when the bolt snapped nd smacked the s**t outta my thumb. New torsion bolts seem like a waste of my time so I think ill be saving up to bag the front

Shitty! Hope you're ok. Did you have the front tires completely off the ground? Were you using a ratchet or an impact? Did you prelube the bolt threads w/ some WD-40 or similar?

Had it jacked up, WD-40'd wratchet and a cheater. Drivers side came out no issue. Those are the breaks I suppose. Soon as I get paid and come back to town ill have pics of where she sits as of now. I'm actually pretty stoked cuz it already looks lower than my old d21
