Although this is not my first rodeo lowering anything, but it is when it comes to a truck. I want to lower my B2200 and maintain a good firm ride. I am into performance and handling which is my uppermost goal. I don't want Bags as there ride is almost always bouncy and harsh. Anyone have any ideas?

I like my 2" static drop for handling, and firm, not harsh ride.

I would like to add a rear sway bar.

My set up:

2" blocks.
Stock leaf springs. None added, or removed.
Torsions turned on spline.
KYB Gas-A-Just all around. Stock lengths. For greater than 2" drop, you'll need Isuzu length shocks.
All bump stops in place and unmodified.

Everything sounds pretty good there, im just wondering how the blocks in the rear are going to handle 300+ RWHP ! Much less the rear end. Has anyone had a fairly BIG HP truck riding on blocks?

Sway bars will help your handling the most. You could possibly, if lucky, find larger torsions...mine are sway a way that picked up from someone on here. I have even thought about fitting some QA1 coil over shocks in the control arms if it's possible and keeping the torsions allowing them to help each other out. I haven't measured yet to see if they'd work.

My personal plan for upgrading handling on my own drop is a front sway bar. I'd see how that helps out. Then possibly Beltech rear leaves and new rear bushings, (bushing upgrades will definitely help). Next would be a rear sway bar if I feel it needs it. And if the front needs more stiffening I'd try my QA1's if I see the measurements work. I have thought about running QA1's in the rear as well.

All that said, if you really want to handle 300+ hp, and not break things, you may want to look into bigger rearend modifications.

Im def going to be installing front and rear sway bars for sure. QA1 might work too. Have you seen anyone swap to Rack and Pinion along with modifying steering angle? Im trying to get all this squared away while the truck is down. Removing F2T and Going G6 FE3.
