front shock mount relocation

i currently am running isuzu pup shocks and they aren't short enough for my drop. i keep bottoming them out. i want to relocate the top mount higher to eliminate the need to hunt down shorter shocks. has anyone done this for a static drop? does anyone have some pics? getting new shocks in a couple weeks and want to re-do the mount when i install the new shocks.

I haven't but I know others that have. If you can weld you can do it.

cant weld but i have a friend that can. i just wanna know whats a good thickness for metal and if shock angle is critical
