So I finally got some time and ambition to fuck around with my truck today and decided id see if I could re-index my torsion bars more then they were already

So I went under the truck and pulled the torsion bars out following the directions from a write up on here and after relising that some one had welded the bar itself to the housing it goes into that the splines sit in I said F*%^k it and decided to just fight the control arm bolts and totally remove the bars for now so I did
and the truck is sitting lower then it did already even though its raked i happen to like it so im temporarily gonna leave it the way it is and see if i can grind the welds and see why they were welded im guessing either whoever did them in the first place either stripped the splines or just welded it to make sure it wouldnt back itself out..but oh well here some before and after pics tell me what you think...this is temporary

thats how it sat before had a better pic but its too big to upload if interested check the profile of the truck itself..heres how it sits now

You can upload them also if you click PHOTOS up at the top. It's easier then attaching them to your forum post.

Umm I camt say for sure haven't driven yet because of my slave cylinder and other misc stuff but I have a feeling its gonna be real bouncy didn't look once it was on the ground but I believe its laying on the bumpstops amd not sure but the shocks might be fully compressed up front leaned on it and it felt real bouncy

My guess would be both, it's sitting on the bump stops and the stock shocks are completely collapsed. I bet if you'd remove the bumps, and remove the front shocks for some shorter ones you'd be considerably lower...of course you'd have a much harsher ride too lol. So for now I'd leave the bump stops in until you get the torsions replaced. I've driven mine on the bump stops and it does make for quite a bouncy ride...but not so harsh.
