torsion bar bolt size?

I am experimenting with lowering my 1989 b2200. I was wondering how long the torsion bar bolts are so I dont accidentally thread them all the way out. Thanks

If you just thread them out you run the risk of catching them on anything driving down the road and literally yanking the entire torsion bar out. Do you really want to risk you life, and those of everyone else on the road..? You really need to just re index the torsions and keep the bolts up tight to the underside of the truck. If you were to take it in for an alignment and the torsions aren't re indexed, just the bolts loosened, the alignment shop will tighten them back up to factory specs. Do not endanger yourself or others.
