I've never lowered anything before and need a little help. I've got an 89 b2200. I bought 2" drop spindles as well as 3" drop leaf springs for the back, the stock shocks are shot and I'd like to know what kind of shocks to get. I'm guessing that I cant use just stock height shocks so...what kind of shocks should I get? Brands? Hieght? Specific Shock? Anything helps. Also this if my first running rig and I plan to do a lot with it. thanks for the help.

I've heard people using early 90s Izusu pup 4x4 shocks for the front. U should be fine with stockers in the rear. Then reason that peeps use the Izusu shocks in front is due to the fact the stock shocks bottom out when lowered and the pup shocks are shorter. I'm pretty sure they bolt on with zero mods and make sure to get the 4x4 shocks because the 2wd shocks are too short and you'll throw tire into fender on bumps.

Thanks, I posted this without looking back into other threads. Another question I have is about camber. If I just put the spindles on without doing anything other than getting shorter shocks will everything fit right? control arms and what not? Also even though I'm lowering the back I can still use the stock height?

I'm not sure about the camber issue but I have 4inch blocks out back and have stock rear shocks you will hit the frame before u bottom them out!

Alright thanks. Im not dropping the back quiet that far haha.

rear?

Front?

I think this setup would work, do you?

You'll be surprised at how close the axle is to the frame I still have all the stock leafs plus the blocks and I have maybe 1.5 inches till my bumpstops hit. I'm probably gonna mini notch the frame and get rid of the bumpstops whenever I can

I haven't heard of any people using pinto shocks for the front (like in the link...) just make sure they're not too short! I'm going with air shocks for old school vw beetles for the rear of mine. There was a post on here not long ago about using them I'll try and dig it up...
