side mirror mounts

i got them big heavy duty side mirrors on my truck and i wanted to know if i could cut the arm that attaches the mirror to the car to mak it look like the normal mazda mirrors

P.s. i also want to put on some little billet side mirrors and i wanted to know if the majority of them would attache where the old mirror goes i have heard of them doin this but i didn't know if it was just a one in a million chance

depends what kind of mirrors.. some have 2 screw holes for the mount.. if you get motorcycle mirrors they actually have a bolt.. and worst case cenerio you have to get a washer to keep it from going threw. I believe if u cut the arm.. the mirrors will sag cause they are so heavy and wind resistance is an issue.
