convertable conversion

i am considering putting a removable hardtop on my truck and i was wondering if anybody out there could walk me through the process so i can decide wether or not this is sumthin i wanna do myself thanks

its going to leak.. but you roll down your windows and weld the upper part of your door frame to the top. Then you cut the back of the windshield frame from one side to the other going under the back window to the other side. Finally you cut starting inside the door window frame and cut accross the top of the windshield. The reason you weld first and include the windshield frame is so you don't have a convo w/ a big square sticking up thats part of your door. You attatch the latches and seals and you have a removable hard top.

dang that sounds hella hard i think i'll keep my top for now

its not really that hard.. but you have to take your time and do it slowly to make sure you are getting a quality clean cut so it dosen't leak.
