because some of the mazdas had the wheels (axel assembly) mounted further away from the cab on select models. From my understanding mazda made 6 beds.. and this is the reason its so difficult to find matching 4x4 metal and the reason they don't make pre runner bed sides for mazdas. So he was saying that your beds don't match, and in result when you put the other bed on there the wheels will not line up with the wheel wells.. and you will either have to hack the bed apart or look goofy.
